Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description Gorman-Rupp Industries is looking for a Full-Time Quality Assurance Supervisor.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the Quality Assurance inspectors and ISO auditors.
The Supervisor will provide support and assist in the corrective action system, continuous improvement projects and non-conformance reporting.
The Supervisor manages the Quality Assurance program, establishes standards, provides inspection practices with suppliers and manufacturing area, provides assistance in the ISO auditing system.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties Coordinates schedules to assure proper coverage of the Quality Assurance department.
Conducts and/or assists in employee performance reviews.
Conducts and/or assists in the quality and environmental ISO auditing process both internal and external audits.
Assists in outside UL, ETL and NSF product audits.
Assists in the material receiving process.
Supervises employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
Assists suppliers in meeting requirements.
Visiting suppliers to ensure quality standards and specifications are being met and maintained.
Facilitate and/or assists in the gage calibration process.
Assists in creating and maintaining detailed work instructions and technical documentation.
Support project management with requested work instructions and technical documentation as related to quality.
Devises statistical measurements of product quality, analyzes statistical data and recommends actions to correct quality problems and to maintain quality consistency.
Interface with other departments to assure communication regarding quality related processes.
Verifies inspections/data of products to ensure customer quality standards are met.
Inspects products (incoming, in-process, final-on-dock).
Ability to place parts, assemblies, pumps and orders on hold and stops production due to quality, document, or labeling issues.
Provide written documentation for product that is suspected of being nonconforming and creating a material reject report (MRR) and coordinates material review activity.
Serves as the safety coordinator within the facility, including overseeing the safety committee, safety programs and initiatives, and ensuring OSHAA compliance in all areas of the facility.
Education/Certification High School graduate or equivalent.
Associates Degree preferred but not required.
Experience Required Experience in an industrial product-manufacturing environment.

years of supervisory and or management experience preferred with supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Years of quality assurance inspection experience preferred.

Years of pump industry experience preferred.
Required Knowledge Manufacturing practices and procedures.
Quality practices and procedures.
Skills/Abilities Ability to train and supervise department personnel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop, coach and mentor department personnel.
Well organized.
Ability to work in an ever changing, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent computer skills required to include Microsoft Office.
Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position Standing on feet for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 10-50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stretch and reach on a frequent basis.
Ability to use the pallet jack, manual and electric, to move material.
Required to take the initial Quality Assurance Placement Test.
